How Can I Give to St. Johns?

St John’s is a community church and registered charity (no:1137246) that is funded wholly by donations from our church family. If you would like to give a one-off or recurring gift, you will be helping us to continue our work in Baxenden, enabling us to share our knowledge and experience of the Grace of God

There are several ways in which you can donate to our mission:

  • Standing order – you can arrange a regular payment to St John’s directly through your personal bank account. Please contact our Treasurer for our bank details
  • Employer’s payroll giving scheme – some employers operate a giving scheme through the monthly payroll. Please ask your HR department for further details
  • One-off payment – you can make a one-off payment directly through your bank account, please contact our Treasurer for our bank details. You can also donate a gift by sending a cheque, made payable to ‘St John’s Church Baxenden’, to St John’s Church Baxenden, Church Avenue, Baxenden, Lancashire, BB5 2RQ
  • Weekly collection – a collection is taken during all of our services. Please use the giving envelopes provided within the church
  • A Will legacy – you may also like to consider making a donation to St John’s in your Will. Please ask your solicitor for details on how this can happen or contact our Treasurer for further information

If you have any questions or would like to discuss which method of giving is most appropriate for you please contact our Treasurer and we will be able to offer you more information and support

Gift Aid

If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) Gift Aid increases the value of your donation by allowing us to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift, currently this is 25 pence for each pound that you donate. In order for us to make this claim you need to complete and return to us a Gift Aid declaration form:
